A young Nigerian, Onukwubiri Ifeanyi Kingsley has revealed why it is important for people not to go into serious relationships if they are broke.
He advised that a broke person should stay away from a serious relationship until he or she has achieved relative financial stability.
According to Kingsley, love is about giving not taking, so if one is in a relationship, one must be willing to give selflessly.
He explained that if an individual does not have money to give their partner, the opportunity cost will be the person’s time.
His stated that if the person is consistently giving their time to their partner, he or she won’t have time to hustle for money, so he will consequently end up poor.
Kingsley wrote,
“If u are very broke, comot hand for anyting way concern serious relationship until u are fianancial stable small. Love is about giving not taking. So when u no get money, na ur time u go give & giving ur time will make u more broke, cos no time to find money & u end uppoor. Na Advice”
