Rehabilitation Of Igbide-Olomoro Road in Delta Sparks Jubilations
The rehabilitation of Igbide-Olomoro road in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state by the lawmaker, representing Isoko South Constituency at the Delta state House of Assembly, Chief Ferguson Onwo.

Igbide-Olomoro road had over the years been deplorable, and had become difficult for motorists and Commuters plying it.but the lawmaker last weekend mobilized materials and equipment to ensure the road was fixed.
Following the rehabilitation, residents of the Community who spoke to Journalists, one of them, Chief Otorh Benson expressed happiness that God was using their illustrious son, Chief Ferguson Onwo to ensure their aged long problem was solved, and urged the state government to do more roads in the Community, especially when the rainy season was fast approaching.
It was gathered that the lawmaker donated a trailer load of stones ,50 bags of cement, and cash for hiring of heavy duty Construction equipment, including pay- loader to assist in ensuring that the road become motorable as quickly as possible.

Describing the extent of disrepair of the road as colossal, the lawmaker who spoke to Journalists in Asaba on Monday, however appealed to the state Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to help in ensuring that the road was captured in the next state budget, stating that the deplorable road of Igbide-Olomoro had had adversely affected the Social economic lives of the people, stressing that the road requires reconstruction.

Chief Onwo emphasized that the deplorable state of the road had also hindered free flow of traffic and had caused untold hardship to commuters and the people of the Community over the years, and Commended the President General of Igbide Community, Dr Patrick Oboghor for drawing his attention to the extent of damage on the road.
He acknowledged that many of the people were predominantly farmers, and that they require motorable roads to evacuate their farm produce hence the urgent need for repairs, adding”our people are suffering as movement from Igbide to Olomoro has become a nightmare, we are approaching heavy raining season and the situation will be worse, a lot of us are farmers and with the present condition of the road, it has been difficult moving farm produce markets”.
