Reactions As Nigerian Man Unveils Naira Cash Hoard From Over 20 Years Ago (VIDEO)

A Nigerian man has sparked online interest by showing his collection of various Naira notes, some issued decades ago, on TikTok.

In the TikTok video, the man displayed the old Naira notes and spoke about the periods in which they were valid.

He mainly focused on old paper N50 and N20 notes, noting that they were eventually replaced by polymer N50 notes in 2009. Also, the man showed the old N20 paper notes, which were issued in 1977 but later replaced by the new N20 polymer notes in 2007.

“Wow, this is fantastic. This is the old money. This is an old currency that has previously been in use.” He said in Hausa.

Netizens, amazed, took to the comments to question how the man kept the money for that long.
