Nigerians have flooded Twitter to demand the prosecution of every government official involved in the shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos.
This follows the revelation by CNN that live bullets were shot at the #EndSARS protesters, contrary to the claim by Nigerian Army that blank rounds were shot in the air to disperse the crowd.
We reported earlier that CNN released the report of weeks of interviews, analysis and investigations into the shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters by men of the Nigerian Army at the Lekki toll gate on October 20.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu confirmed the deployment of soldiers to the venue of the protest, although the Nigerian Army initially denied being at the toll gate, it later admitted its men were sent there but claimed that they only fired blank bullets into the air.
CNN debunked that claim with a series of verified footage from numerous sources including a satellite, and it released the testimonies of survivors from the shooting of that night as well as accounts from family members of victims.
In light of the development Nigerians have been praising CNN for exposing the truth in details while calling for the prosecution of the government officials who ordered the shooting of peaceful protesters on October 20, 2020.
See the reaction from Nigerians below;
If you watch that CNN video, you’ll be amazed at how they were able to track the bullets to the Nigerian Army fire arms purchase from Serbia. #LekkiMassaccre #EndSARS pic.twitter.com/MiLdaw76xY

The CNN documentary of the #LekkiMassaccre will make you angry at the government and Nigerian Army all over again.
We expect them to dispute this and label it fake news as usual. Don't forget anything the government labels "fake news" is the undiluted truth.
