Barrister describes how he got away with miniature wounds following robbery attack in Lagos traffic.

A Nigerian Barrister gives an account of how he got robbed in Lagos traffic but escaped with minute injuries.

According to a series of Tweets released by the victim, identified as “Mazi Thanos”, he was stuck in traffic around the Mile 2 area of Lagos when some touts approached his vehicle and demanded some money.

They also claimed to shoot him and his aunt if they refuse to budge.

He wrote:

“There was a robbery attempt on me an hour ago. Was at Mile 2 (stuck in traffic) when some touts approached my car from both windows and began demanding money while claiming they’ll shoot me and my aunt. One of them broke the window of the passenger side and grabbed my phone.

I don’t know how I grabbed both his hands and snatched them back from him. Snatched his handkerchief in the process. Thankfully, we got away with minute cuts from the broken glass. I honestly wish I was with pepper spray or a pistol.”
