15-year-old boy who took mother’s fowl to pay fees resumes school after getting scholarship
A young boy has been admitted into school after he tried paying tuition with his mother’s fowl.
The student known as Lawrence Murimi and his mother had taken a fowl to school in the hope of settling his school fees but was rejected.

Following Kangaru High School Principal’s decision to not admit the boy on May 19, well-wishers rallied round and offered him scholarship.
The Good Samaritans led by Kameme TV presenter Muthee Kiengei were able to ensure the boy goes back to school.
Principal Koech also gave him a warm welcome and photos which surfaced online showed him even helping the boy wear his new shoes.

Lawrence’s mum who was filled with joy could ben seen smiling from cheek to cheek as other members of staff also joined the principal to welcome Lawrence.
