Senator Shehu Sani took to his Twitter handle this morning to tackle the NCDC and the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 after photos of the APC governorship campaign rally in Edo state which held on Saturday, August 8, surfaced online.

The photos showed the venue was jam-packed with the attendees not obeying the COVID-19 protocols such as physical distancing.

Sani in his tweets opined that the NCDC and PTF have lost the moral right to insist on the closure of worship centres, schools and sports as long as they choose to remain silent over the rally which violated same protocols that convicted Naira Marley.

”Where is Justice if Naira Marley can be arrested, tried and fined for violating the #COVID?19 protocols while the Edo Political Campaigns rallies goes unchallenged by the law,by the @NCDCgov  and by the PTF?

The @NCDCgov d the PTF on #COVID19 loses the moral right to insist on d closure of Worshiping Centres,Schools & sports as long as they choose to remain silent on d political campaign rally in Benin which openly violated all d preventive protocols that convicted Naira Marley.”
