Ondo state orders compulsory recitation of Oodua Anthem in all schools

The Ondo state government has ordered the compulsory recitation of the Oodua Anthem in all public & private, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in the state.

The directive is to take effect immediately.

This was made known in a circular dated 1st March 2021 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ondo state Ministry of Education, Asaniyan R. Akin.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had on February 25, announced at the international event and cultural centre that the state has adopted the Oodua Anthem and it is to be recited by residents of the state.
