Mr Ibu bags Best Comedian In Nollywood Award

Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has received the award for the best African comedian in the Nollywood industry.

Organizers of the Superior Radio and Television (SRTV) Awards, described the veteran actor as the ‘Best Comedian in Nollywood.’

The recognition tagged as Honorary Award – African Star is to acknowledge the 59 years old movie star for his immense contribution to the entertainment and media industries in Africa.

Announcing Mr. Ibu’s achievement to the world, the organizers wrote; ”He is John Okafor. He is the best African comedian and He is one of our winners.”

Ibu’s 40 year career has ssen him star in more than 200 movies including Mr.Ibu (2004), Mr.Ibu in London (2004), Ibu in Prison (2006) and Keziah (2007).
