Governor El-Rufai appoints Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as new Emir of Zazzau

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has approved the appointment of Amb. Ahmed Nuhu-Bamalli as the 19th Emir of Zazzau.

 

The appointment is contained in a statement signed by the state commissioner of Local Government Affairs, Ja’afaru Ibrahim-Sani, today Wednesday, October 7.

 

“The appointment is with immediate effect. All other arrangements for the installation ceremony and presentation of Staff of Office would be announced in due course,” the letter read

 

Bamalli studied law at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and holds a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and a diploma in Organisational Leadership from Oxford University. He is also a fellow on Conflict Resolution of the University of York, United Kingdom (UK), the statement said

 

Nuhu-Bamalli takes over from Shehu Idris who died in September after a brief illness.
