At the National Collation Centre in Abuja in the wee hours of Wednesday, Tinubu’s win was declared by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

That Tinubu Bola Ahmed of the APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” Mahmood pronounced.

With victories in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states and sizeable margins in several others, Tinubu received 8,794,726 ballots, the most of any candidate.

Speaking in response to some parties’ decision to contest the outcome, Oba Solomon claimed that because the governing party controls Nigeria, it cannot lose in court.

According to Solomon, it’d be best to take the issue to deities Sango or Ayelala.

He said; “APC has a stronghold on Nigeria, taking them to court is a complete waste of time, if you have a problem with them, the best solution is to report APC to Ayelala or Sango”
