UNIZIK student left with swollen and bleeding skin after she was allegedly beaten by a lecturer (video)

A female student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) was left with swollen and bleeding skin after she was allegedly beaten by a lecturer.

A video shared online by her course mate, simply identified as Ginika, shows her brutalized arm and back as a result of the beating.

According to Ginika, the young lady was assaulted by the male lecturer because she didn’t wear Ankara to his class.

In the video, one of the students could be heard saying they would report the case to the Head of Department (HOD).

Sharing the video on her Instagram page, she wrote,

“They have killed us in economics department #Unizik oooo… How many suffer wey we go suffer for this school?
Why and where on earth is it ethical to hit a student at all? Not to talk of to this extent… It was a male lecturer of Unizik that did this…
He should release my shoe shaa let me go home”
