Ogun police summons owner of hotel where hidden cameras were found in rooms

The Ogun State command of Nigeria Police Force says it has commenced investigation into the alleged invasion of privacy of guests at the Pavillion Hotel, Ayepe in the Odogbolu area of the state.

Few days ago, some guests who visited the hotel said to be popular in Ogun, took to social media to call out the hospitality outlet after they discovered cameras hidden in their rooms.

The discovery sparked outrage and public outcry, such that some celebrities also criticised the hotel owners.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the hotel owner has been invited for questioning.

He said, “The owner of the hotel stays in Lagos and the Divisional Police Officer in Odogbolu has invited him. We are expecting him to come and state his reasons for doing so.”
