A Nigerian man expressed shock after he ordered for pounded yam and soup at a hotel and was informed that it cost over N5,000.
In a video posted on Instagram, the man could be seen going through the numbers with the attendant who brought the food to his room.
They calculated the amount for each of the items from the bottle water to the pounded yam and soup as well as turkey in the soup.
He was informed that the pounded yam and soup cost N1500 while the turkey is N3500 and bottled water was N400, by the time they were done, it all amounted to N5,400.
The reality of his situation was so heartbreaking that he heaved a sigh and subsequently became silent.
