Lai Mohammed spotted aboard a plane leaving Nigeria for US (Video)
Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has been captured on camera boarding a plane heading for the United States.
According to SaharaReporters, the minister was traveling to New York to meet Twitter representatives over the ban of the social networking firm’s services in Nigeria.
A passenger recorded the moment Mohammed was putting his bags away and taking a seat on an international flight from Lagos.
He was on Delta airlines seat Number 8A, according to Sahara Reporters.
Recall that Mohammed, who led a team to engage with Twitter over the suspension of the company’s operations in Nigeria, said that the end of the ban is in sight.
The Minister, while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the virtual Federal Executive Council, FEC last week, said; “The end for amicable resolution is very much in sight.
We appreciate the patience of Nigerians. I want to assure you that we have made very tremendous progress. We have met with Twitter both physically and in writing. We are actually almost there.
The engagement of has been extremely positive without any acrimony. We have made it clear what we want from Twitter.”
