Lady shows off old Biafran currency she found in her father’s house (Photos)

A Nigerian lady simply identified as Chioma, has taken social media users aback to a time when Biafran currency was in use.

Chioma, in a post via microblogging platform, Twitter shared photos of Biafra notes she found in her father’s house.

In the images she posted, she laid out clean Biafran notes and coins used during the nation’s civil war that lasted from 6 July 1967 to 15 January 1970.

She also found old 50 kobo and one naira notes.

Expressing awe over the discovery, she wrote;

“Found ancient Biafran currencies in my fathers house ! These notes are over 60 years old and quite beautiful to say the least

Biafran pounds and shillings

50kobo and one Naira notes. Throwback to when these notes had value”
