Kano Hisbah arrests youths for playing WHOT game
The Kano state Hisbah Board has arrested a group of youths playing a popular card game, Whot, in Warawa town.
According to the Islamic police, the young men were wasting their time playing the card game instead of going into a productive venture.
Hisbah in a statement on its Facebook page, said it shared some chapters of the Qur’an with them and ordered them to recite.

Haroon Ibn Sina, has arrested some youths for wasting their time to play Whot.
“The divisional office, therefore, shared some chapters of the Holy Qur’an to them to recite for them to utilize their time,” it wrote.
Meanwhile, the moral police have since banned stylish haircuts, sagging of trousers and playing of music at social events by disk jockeys.
