I was in 200level when this project started, now I’m a father and it’s not halfway done – Man

A Nigerian man has questioned Lagos state government over the long-running Mass Railway Project in the state which is yet to be completed 12 years after it commenced construction.

The Lagos Blue Line project started in 2009 in and it was originally supposed to have 13 stations but was cut down to 11 stations (Blue line & Red line).

Reacting to the development, the man revealed that he was a 200 level undergraduate when the project commenced, now he is a graduate and married with a 5 years old child, while the railway is yet to be completed.

Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) had revealed that scarcity of funds was the main cause of the line’s delay.

Taking to Twitter, the man with handle @MONSIEURBLAC said;

”I was in 200 level when they started this project. I’ve graduated, finished law school, done NYSC, started work, got married and I have a 5 year old kid. The project is not half way done yet.”
