The Lebanese government has arrested its citizen, Wael Jerro, who put up a Nigerian woman for sale on Facebook.

The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa; stated this on her Twitter handle on Thursday.
She further noted that the suspect, who the Lebanese government arrested would undergo prosecution.
“The Lebanese Government just announced the arrest of Mr. Wael Jerro for onward prosecution against criminal sales of a human, a young Nigerian girl,” she wrote.

Further, he put a price tag of $1,000 on the 30-year-old Ibadan, Oyo State, indigene.
The incident generated outrage on social media, as many Nigerians called for the arrest of the suspect and rescue of Busari.
Meanwhile, investigations reveal that the suspect, Jerro, resides in Beirut, Lebanon.

The digital marketer as well as web designer, while calling out Jerro; described his action as inhuman.
“I have reported to the Nigerian embassy. Please do the same; if you know anyone in the Nigerian embassy in Lebanon,” she added.
