Arsenal Fixtures: Next Six Games After North London Derby Draw

Arsenal took the lead twice in Sunday’s north London derby but couldn’t hold on as Spurs battled back to earn a point.

Bukayo Saka had a hand in both of the Gunners’ goals, seeing one shot deflect in off Cristian Romero before converting a penalty, but Son Heung-min’s brace meant the spoils were shared at the Emirates.

Here’s who Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be targeting victory over in their next six games.

Brentford vs Arsenal – Carabao Cup

Brentford made enemies out of Arsenal in their first ever Premier League meeting, beating the Gunners 2-0 on the opening night of the 2021/22 season.

The Bees haven’t been able to beat Mikel Arteta’s side since that day, however, with Arsenal poking fun at Ivan Toney after a 3-0 win in their most recent trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal – Premier League

Reiss Nelson was the name on everybody’s lips after Arsenal’s most recent meeting with Bournemouth.

Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi had given the Cherries a shock 2-0 lead at the Emirates by the hour mark, but Thomas Partey and Ben White brought them level again before Nelson’s stunning strike sent north London into raptures.

Lens vs Arsenal – Champions League

Arsenal’s return to the Champions League brought a carnival atmosphere to the Emirates as Arteta’s side ran out convincing 4-0 winners.

Their next UCL outing is a first clash with Ligue 1 side Lens since 1998/99. Arsenal couldn’t beat Les Sang et Or in either game but are heavy favourites for this game, with Lens making a horrid start to the Ligue 1 season.

Arsenal vs Manchester City – Premier League

Arsenal had to wait an age before facing Manchester City in 2022/23, eventually facing Pep Guardiola’s side three times over four months. They lost both Premier League games as well as an FA Cup tie, but scored a mental victory by triumphing in the Community Shield earlier this season.

City have been dealing with injury issues to some key players while Rodri will be suspended, but the challenge is still a formidable one with the treble winners winning all six of their league games so far.

Chelsea vs Arsenal – Premier League

Arsenal’s recent head-to-head record with Chelsea is strong, losing just once in their last eight meetings in all competitions, and they will be expected to claim all three points when football returns after October’s international break.

The Gunners have won their last three trips to Chelsea in the league and the Blues’ troubles at the start of the 2023/24 hint at more success for Arteta and his team.

Sevilla vs Arsenal – Champions League

Arsenal’s second Champions League game of October sees them travel to Sevilla, a side who have struggled to get out of the group stages in recent years. To compensate for that failure, the Spaniards often win the Europa League instead.

The two sides shared wins when they met in the group stages of the 2006/07 competition. The Gunners will be hopeful of making it three wins from three games when this one rolls around.
