Aluu 4: You Won’t Get A Dime From Me – Linda Ikeji To Parents Of Victims

Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji, has responded to critics that are against the release of her movie, Dark October.

Her post was also addressed to the parents of the slain Uniport students which the movies were reportedly dedicated to.

In 2012, four boys were killed in Uniport by a mob in the Aluu community and the movie was dedicated to them.

The parents of the deceased who found out about the release of her movie released a statement to the public that they were against the release of the movie as it will bring back unpleasant memories for them.

They added that the movie had triggered and reminded them of the trauma of losing their children.

Linda Ikeji decided to release a statement as well after people criticized her for releasing the movie after the deceased parents asked her not to.

In her statement, she advised them not to press charges as they are only wasting their time and resources. She stated that the movie was a completely fictional movie and the boy’s name or image of the boy as well as their families were not represented in the movie.

She encouraged them to watch the movie first before they start criticizing her and explained that it was just a movie dedicated to the four boys killed by mobs in the Aluu community in 2012.

In her words:

“Dear Livingston and partners, thank you so much for the press statement you put in two days ago. It brought so much awareness to this film that talks about jungle justice as a menace in our society and the things that need to be done to stop or curtail it.

“You’re backing over nothing. Dark October is a complete work of fiction. Dedicated to the memory of Aluu 4. There are no facts in the film. I wish you’d watch it before taking any action because I guarantee you, you would be wasting your time and resources.”
