This is according to Abumere Ededuan, FIFA licensed agent and close pal to Musa, who said the footballer wants to hang his boot on domestic games after the African football fiesta.

He told SportingSun that barring any last minute change of mind, the Sivasspor winger has decided to leave the pitch for the younger players to show what they are made of.

Ededuan said; “You never can tell because in football anything can happen, but that notwithstanding, Musa is hoping to end his time with the national team on a high in Ivory Coast. It’s time for him to give the younger players opportunity to show what they can equally do for our fatherland.

“He has served the nation with highest degree of devotion and dedication and I think his mind is made up… He has given a strong indication that Ivory Coast is likely to be his last port of call with the national team.’’

Musa made his debut for the senior team at 17, in a qualification match for the 2012 African Cup of Nations against Madagascar. He had come on as a substitute for Mikel John Obi in a 2–0 win in 2010.
