Villagers from Amatolo and Okumbiri communities in Bayelsa state clashed on Friday which led to the loss of properties and serious injuries to both communities.
The Chairman Bayelsa state Vigilante service Evang. Parkins Ogede swiftly deployed men of the Bayelsa State Vigilante service to both communities to curtail the problem and maintain law and order in the areas.
The chairman visited the paramount ruler of Amatolo to hear their side of the incident and also visited the Okumbiri community to hear their side of the story as well.
After hearing both sides of the story, the Vigilante Chairman Evang. Parkins Ogede appreciated both sides for their patience in handling the swift crisis and also tasked them to maintain peace and order while the state government resolves the crisis.
